Who is responsible for processing your data?
The party responsible for processing your personal data is «Unión de Créditos Inmobiliarios S.A., Establecimiento Financiero de Crédito» (hereinafter, «UCI»), with registered office in 32 Amaltea Street, 1st floor (Visionary Building) 28045 Madrid, Spain
For what purpose, and on which legal basis, do we use your data?
First of all, at UCI we trust that all the personal data you provide us with are true and accurate, and that, if necessary, you agree to notify us of any change or modification to them. If at any time you provide us with third-party personal data, you will be responsible for informing them and obtaining their consent to provide us with these data and that they are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
At UCI we shall process your data with the purpose of offering you a more personalized service. Specifically, so as to be able to respond to and deal with any query or request you may make through our email addresses or any of our phone numbers. To do this, we shall be able to process your data in order to give you all the information you require about our services and about those which, even though they belong to third-party companies, are sent from UCI.
Furthermore, we shall process your personal data to deal with any suggestions, complaints and claims that may be filed before our Customer Care Service (atencionalcliente@uci.com) or Customer Ombudsman (ef.defensordelcliente@gmail.com) through their respective contact email addresses or by those sent by post.
As we detail below, according to the use we make of your personal data in each case, the legal basis allowing us to process them will be different. We shall inform you at all times of (1) when the information we’re asking you for is essential for us to be able to sign the contract, (2) when and why we’re asking you for information that we are legally obliged to request from you, and (3) when and why we need your consent to request and use your data.
Legitimate Interest:
On the one hand, we shall process your personal data to assist you every time you request information about our products or services, as well as to respond to the suggestions, complaints and claims you send us through any of our contact phone numbers or emails. Likewise, we shall need to process your information, such as your curriculum, when you provide it in order to be able to work with us.
On the other hand, in those cases in which we offer a simulation tool on our Website (such as, for example, for calculating your mortgage), we shall only ask you for the information required to contact you in connection with the result obtained.
In these cases we understand that UCI has a legitimate interest to use the information you provide to us. We believe that the interest we have in using your data will not harm your privacy in any way. If this were not so, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Compliance of contractual relationship:
On the other hand, if you ask us, we shall also be able to process your data to facilitate the contracting of any of our products or services, as well as the development, implementation, execution, and management of all those already contracted with UCI. Thus, for example, we shall need to process your personal data if you request us to process the payment of an appraisal through our Website.
We shall also process the personal information you provide us with to deal with your registration as professional collaborator or customer on our Website. This will be necessary to identify you as a user and give you access to the different purposes available to you as a registered user. However, the specific conditions that will govern your relationship with UCI will be previously provided, including those relating to privacy.
In these cases, we shall need to process your personal data in order to be able to formalize, manage and fulfil the contract you wish to sign with us, as well as to provide the services you have requested.
Compliance of a legal obligation:
There will also be times when, in order to comply with certain legal obligations applicable to us, we may use your personal data; in these cases and insofar as possible, we shall duly inform you of the applicable regulation. This is particularly important due to our position as a financial institution, subject to special controls and monitoring processes by different agencies and public authorities (for example: Banco de España, CNMV (the National Securities Market Commission), etc.).
Consent: We shall need your authorization to process your data for issues not needed to comply with the contract with you or which are not legally required, or for which we do not have a legitimate interest. When this happens, we shall inform you in detail of why and how we want to use your data.
Are we going to share your personal data with anyone?
We are the entity legally responsible for the collection, use, storage and disposal, as appropriate, of your data. Therefore, and as a general rule, your data will only be used at UCI, and we shall not disclose them to any third party; we shall do so only when it is legally required (for example, to the State Security Forces and Bodies or to the Courts), when we have been expressly authorized by them, or when it is a case of your or UCI’s legitimate interest. Apart from these cases, we shall not disclose the information you provide to us to any third party.
However, we want you to know that whenever other UCI Group companies are directly involved in the management you have requested and if it is necessary, the latter may also process your personal data.
Third-party support services providers also collaborate with UCI, who may occasionally require access to your personal data. We refer, for example, to technological services providers or software or security companies. When you provide your personal data, you authorize us to process and share your information with these collaborators.
In this sense we want to clarify that we shall sign the corresponding contract with these providers, and shall impose, among others, the obligation to apply the appropriate technical and organizational measures; process the data they access solely to fulfil our assignment and instructions, and delete them or return them at the end of their services.
How long shall we keep your information?
UCI will keep the information you provide us with for the time strictly necessary to manage and respond to what you have requested. Once your data are no longer necessary for the purpose for which you provided them, we shall keep them to place them at the disposal of the Courts in the event of any claim. We shall keep these data, but properly blocked and solely for that purpose.
We may have the legal obligation (for example, concerning the prevention of money laundering) to keep your data for a longer period of time if you purchased any of our financial services or products. For each case, we shall inform you regarding how long we shall keep and use your personal data.
What are your rights when you provide us with your data?
You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether UCI is processing your personal data or not and, if so, to access your personal data, as well as to request the rectification of any inaccurate data or, as the case may be, request their deletion if, among other reasons, the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
Under certain circumstances, you may be able to request the limitation of your data processing and if you have authorized the elaboration of profiles and this is carried out entirely by an automated procedure, you may request the non-automated processing, express your point of view and challenge the decisions based on those profiles.
Sometimes and for reasons related to your particular situation, you will be able to oppose the processing of your data, as well as request their portability so they may be sent directly to the entity designated by you in a particular format.
You can exercise these rights by email to the following address: privacidad@uci.com or by post to Apartado de Correos 1160 28080 – Madrid.
The interested party may from this moment and at any other time later withdraw their consent to the processing by sending an email to privacidad@uci.com or in the case of being a digital customer through the Private Area on the customer website.
The interested party may file a complaint with UCI and/or before the Spanish Data Protection Agency (as the competent Data Protection control authority), especially when dissatisfied with the exercise of their rights, by writing to privacidad@uci.com or through the website htpps://www.aepd.es.
Who is UCI’s Data Protection Officer?
At UCI we have appointed a person, the Data Protection Officer, to protect your privacy, as well as to ensure that we fulfil all the legal requirements regarding Spanish and European personal data protection regulations.
This person will be responsible for providing all the information required regarding your personal data. If you need to contact him/her, you can do so at the following email address: dpo@uci.com
